Markmaking 

In 2026, I began scaling up the size of my mark making.  Heart of Darkness is my expression of the  mass, or heart of brilliant light surrounded by the darkness it may take to find joy - painted, marked, inscribed, and layered.

In 2024 I began exploring painting in  Acrylics. I began to focus on layering color and markmaking to continue my fascination with light, vibrant colors and spacial openings. This was Christmas time and the energy and brilliant lighting of this season influenced  the smaller works below.
